If you haven’t heard of NuBrilliance before then you’re one of the very few. This microdermabrasion machine has risen to the top of the skincare industry mainly due to the results it’s been achieving and the fact that people can now use it to do professional microdermabrasion at home, instead of having to pay an arm and a leg every time they go into their local beauty salon.
The main question most people have been asking however is whether or not it deserves all the hype it’s been getting over the last few months. This is something we’ll endeavor to answer in this short but detailed review of NuBrilliance.
How Does It Work?
The obvious first question is to determine how the NuBrilliance works so we can compare it to salon style treatments.
Essentially the device works the exact same way as most salon machines. It has a suction cap that tightens before the diamond tip exfoliates, smoothing out the skin.
Now the problem with most at home machines is the level at which they exfoliate. Most aren’t designed well enough and intern are too rough on the skin. This causes painful red marks to appear for several days after treatment.
This we believe is the main reason why NuBrilliance has become so popular – it’s the most gentle on your skin, but at the same time gets results similar to those seen after a salon treatment.
Here’s Why You Should NOT Buy The NuBrilliance
I knew this a long time ago, but ever since people have started to write in about this problem, it’s really solidified it in my own mind and I just had to get it down on paper.
From the comments below you can see the major issue with the NuBrilliance is that it tends to lose its suction power after a few uses. I’m not sure why this happens, but it does and that basically renders it almost completely useless. As a result of this, I’ve had to start telling people to order a more high quality machine like the Microderm MD instead, which definitely does not lose suction after a few treatments.
Although the price is slightly more affordable, I promise you will be much happier if you pay a little more for the better machine.
I never like to say anything bad about a product, but unfortunately the NuBrilliance just doesn’t deliver on its promise. If you have already spent the money on this machine, then you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Does the machine look like the one at the top of this page? And the cost is $249.95? What’s the difference of the Microdermabrasion MD and the one you are featuring-Nu Brilliance System?
Hey Sharon, there’s a big difference between the NuBrilliance and the Microderm MD. The Microderm MD is in my opinion a far superior machine that is made from much better materials. The main problem with the NuBrilliance is it has shown tendencies to lose its suction power over time. This of course doesn’t happen with the Microderm MD, which is why I’ve had to start telling people to buy it instead. You can read more about it here.

Honestly I have to agree with you Heather. Most people have seen good results when first using the NuBrilliance, then after a couple of treatments something seems to happen to the suction power. That’s why I’ve had to start referring people onto the Microderm MD, which tends to hold its suction power for good.

Hey Lindy, our site is an independent review site so we don’t actually own or sell any of the products we review. I also wouldn’t recommend the NuBrilliance as a lot of other women have found it to do a poor job after a couple of uses.
In our honest opinion, the best machine we have used (and this comes from other women too) is the Microderm MD.
